Jeff Pelizzaro, MPT

 

Jeff is a licensed Physical Therapist and is the Manager and Golf Specific Trainer for Motion Memory Golf.

 

Jeff was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. He attended St. Louis University High School then went on to Rockhurst University, where he played soccer and earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in 2000. Jeff then completed his graduate studies at Rockhurst, earning a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 2002.


While in the Physical Therapy program at Rockhurst University, Jeff completed clinical rotations at Saint Louis University Hospital, St John’s Mercy Outpatient Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute, and St. Anthony’s Hospital Outpatient Sports Rehabilitation Clinic. During his clinical rotations, he worked with a wide array of injuries and impairments ranging from inpatient cardiopulmonary surgeries, inpatient/outpatient orthopedic surgeries, traumatic brain injuries, neurological impairments, amputees, to sports related injuries.


After graduation, Jeff worked for St. Anthony’s Hospital Outpatient Sports Rehabilitation Clinic from 2002 until 2004. While at St. Anthony’s, Jeff’s clientele was primarily outpatient orthopedic injuries and workman’s compensation cases, along with some neurologic rehab.


In 2004, Jeff relocated to the Des Peres facility of Heritage Physical Therapy in St. Louis, MO. While at Heritage Physical Therapy, Jeff worked very closely with the physicians of Orthopedic Associates of St. Louis. His clientele consisted of outpatient orthopedic injuries, and he specialized primarily in knee, shoulder, hip, and back injuries. Much his work included post surgical rehabilitation for the general population, as well as athletes. Jeff has worked with professional baseball, hockey, football, and soccer players, as well as many high school and collegiate athletes. In 2007, Jeff became the Director of Clinical Care at Heritage Physical Therapy. During this time he worked very closely with Dr. David King for rehabilitation of post surgical arthroscopic labral repairs of the hip.


Jeff’s postgraduate training includes courses in Spinal Joint Mobilization, Sports Specific Strength Training, Advances in Rehabilitation of the Knee/Shoulder, and Functional Neurodynamics.


Jeff lives in St. Louis with his wife Susan and new son, Sam. His interests include golf, soccer, physical fitness, nutrition and spending time with his family.
